Ron no longer accepts new consulting projects, but with over 40 years of experience in operations, project management, and human resources consulting, Ron Furlong is the driving force behind Back Office Guy and the information and tools available from this site. Ron built a career around helping small to mid-sized businesses remove barriers to performance, streamline internal systems, and execute critical projects with clarity and confidence. And now works to transfer that knowledge to North American businesses who don’t have HR expertise on staff.
His background spans a wide range of sectors—from automotive, construction, and manufacturing to government, education, and community development. Whether it’s leading a new subdivision build, designing workforce development programs, analyzing data for business decisions, or drafting complete HR systems, Ron brings structure, insight, and a results-driven mindset to every project.
